Not the wake up call I requested...

Around 5AM the fire alarm went off. It stopped after about 7 loud beeps, so we ignored it.

Then it went off again.

She seems to put all her morning frustrations towards demolishing that bully stick...

And again. At  the third time, the hotel's pre-recorded emergency messaged began playing so proceeded to walk towards the emergency exit. Poor Hinata was so confused and terrified with all the commotion going on that she refused to go through the exit door and down the stairs. I had to pick her up and carry her down the stairs all the way from the seventh floor while she used her Doggo Skill #1: Puppy Wiggles to resist.

An ambulance was parked in front of the hotel and some guests were whispering about someone triggering the alarm for smoking in their room. The hotel staff later confirmed our suspicion that it was a false alarm. This is the second hotel in a row we stayed in with a false fire alarm evacuation. Fingers crossed the next hotel won't have one!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by!

Hamu and Usagi are currently preparing for their first documented trip! This blog will be updated whenever their adventures permit. 

The first trip will be to the land of the rising sun - Japan! We made plans to go in the past, but things never seemed to go our way. Now all the pieces have fallen into place and we're super psyched.

My public awaits.

Since we'll be gone for a few weeks, our little pupper will be staying with our friend and trusted breeder, Kaiju Kennels.

Staying at the Kaiju Kennels will be good for Hinata, especially since she gets to play with another dog her age, Ebira.

Have you seen Ebira? She's purdy. We call her Sephora Dog. She's also a fluffy sweetheart.

Ebira will be attending her first official conformation show today so we'll be there for moral support! (Don't worry, they' don't have any expectations for her yet). Since we have to wait for Mr. and Mrs. Kaiju to come home from the show, we might as well take the opportunity to check it out and socialize our fluff butt.
