UKC Dog Show — Finding Bouken

We had to wait for Mrs. Kaiju to be home to drop off Hinata, so we figured we might as well go to our first dog show and cheer on Ebi-chan from the sidelines.

While she did okay, another Japanese Akita, Maru, did fantastic! Maru is a sweet and handsome pupper. He is 8.5 months old, so not far from our little fluff butt in age. Note: he has massive paws.

We also met a rare breed called a Czechoslovakian Vlcak (pronounced Vlack) aka Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. We had an opportunity to meet them before when Mrs. Kaiju invited us over for their first barn hunt event when Hinata was 5 weeks old. However, time was not on our side so we never got to go then! In case you're curious, they are herding dogs.

There were many other breeds in the show. There were some (but not all) Cardigan Welsh Corgis (no Merle though, sorry, Kevin!), Dobermans, Siberian Huskies, and lots of Klee Kai and American Eskimos. I had a lot of fun watching a group of American Eskimos walk together. They looked like giant cotton balls with toothpicks for legs. Yes, I still wanted to squish them.
